You should choose rather soft bowls in order to absorb impacts and to avoid bounces. We recommend the 120 half-soft one or the very-soft Prestige 110 one. The Prestige bowl is made of fine steel, a quenching for each unit, bowl after bowl, followed by a strong tempering to arrive at precisely the ideal figure of 110 Kg/mm2, the greatest possible softness ratified in competition. This is the "Rolls" of the shooter.
You should choose rather hard bowls. We recommend you the 140 one (but they are only available in carbon steel and require some maintenance) or the 120 half-soft.
To play comfortably in every area of the game, you should rather choose the half-soft 120 bowl.
A bowl's hardness is measured in kg/mm2.Hard bowls are used mostly by pointers because they are durable and can be used on any type of ground. Shooters prefer soft bowls because they bounce less during the impact, which is particularly important on hard ground.

Striation improves your grip on the bowl, the grooves grab the ground on impact and when the bowl rolls. It also helps you to increase the spin on the bowl. So, striation is an important characteristic for pointers.
Your bowls weight and the brand (or model) are engraved on the surface. We can also add your name or initials for your own personal touch... or for a unique gift idea ! Engraving costs 10,00€ for up to three letters, and 16,00€ for more than three letters.The number of letters we can engrave depends on the space left on the bowl after striation.
